FOUNDER NOTES

Why we’re called Suviq

Every Indian reader already knows our name. They just haven’t noticed yet.

su- is Sanskrit’s upgrade prefix, and it hides in words people say every day: suvidha — facility, ease. Sugam — smooth, accessible. Swagat — welcome, literally “well-arrived.” The prefix doesn’t decorate a word with “good.” It transforms the root into its well-executed form. Gam is just going; sugam is going made smooth. Agat is arrival; swagat is arrival done right.

Add su- to iQ and you get Suviq: intelligence, well applied.

That construction is the whole company in one word. We don’t think intelligence — human or artificial — is scarce. Applied intelligence is scarce. Every business we meet has access to the same models, the same tools, the same tutorials. The gap between them is never access; it is application: which problem, in what order, built how, adopted by whom.

The stroke

Look at our Q. The letterform is a closed ink circle — potential, complete in itself, going nowhere. The marigold tail is the one stroke that breaks it: out of the circle, through the rim, drawn along the baseline into the world. We call it the applied stroke, and it underlines exactly one phrase on every page of this site, because the discipline of doing one thing deliberately is the discipline the name demands.

The AI changes every six months. The name was chosen so the promise wouldn’t have to.
